Greetings from The Innovation Learning Laboratory for Population Health at Morehouse School of Medicine.
The Innovation Learning Laboratory values the use of imagination to be innovative and forward-thinking in producing more efficient ways to serve the community. The purpose of the lab is to design, implement, execute, evaluate, and disseminate population improvement programs, curricula, and ideas. The Laboratory serves three main functions:

Identify, design develop, demonstrate, and disseminate innovative models of health care improvement

Study and foster population health through patient, community consumer and provider engagement

Prepare 21st-century healthcare leaders/workers-including training for students, community, faculty, and providers.
We are currently looking for six Population Health Interns ranging from High School Seniors (2), Undergraduate (2), and Graduate students (2) who are passionate about health innovation. This will be an insightful and exciting opportunity to meet industry experts, identify health disparities in communities, and gain real-world experience in the implementation of a health innovation solution to improve health outcomes.
This paid internship is going to operate in a hybrid format so individuals must be prepared to spend days at the office for 8 weeks. The Innovation Learning Laboratory for Population Health is located at 50 Hurt Plaza SE, Atlanta, GA 30303. The internship is designed to give participants an intensive and realistic introduction to the field of population health,collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on projects aimed at addressing public health challenges and promoting community well-being.
Interested participants must:

have a passion for population health and commitment to serving their community.

complete the application with all supplemental documents.

reside in Atlanta, GA as some in-office days each week are required.

have their own transportation to come to the office or in the community as needed.

be available during the internship scheduled days June 3, 2024 and go through July 31, 2024.

be available and remain available for the duration of the interns work schedule 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday
Successful applicants will receive an iPad and keyboard, MiFi hotspot device, polo shirt, and a stipend. The stipend amounts will be awarded as follows: Graduate interns will receive $8,000, Undergraduate interns will receive $6,000, and High School interns will receive $4,000
